Introduction

Sports are a big part of a child’s life as they benefit them in various ways. Likewise, I have been interested in sports from a young age. In school, I was on the basketball team and became interested in the sport. Therefore, today, I will discuss one sport I enjoy playing and watching. 

What is it?

I enjoy watching basketball as much as playing it. I watch the National Basketball Association, commonly known as the NBA. There are various teams in the NBA, according to the cities, like the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, and more. Each team has five players on the court, and there are substitute players. 

Who do you watch it with?

I usually watch the NBA games alone. The game airs according to the US timing, so most games are aired in the early morning, making it difficult for me to watch them with someone else. I watch the matches alone because my friends and I have different favourite teams, and because of this, we usually get into a fight.

When do you watch it?

The NBA games are scheduled according to the USA's timing, and there is a huge time gap between India and the USA. Therefore, most of the games are aired either early morning, in the afternoon or evening in the US, or late at night.

Why do you like to watch it?

I like to watch the game because, firstly, it is a team game, which helps me understand the role of every individual. Secondly, the players' athleticism is fun to watch as the game has a fast-moving format. Lastly, since I have a keen interest in the sport myself, I enjoy it in all manners. 

Conclusion

To conclude, basketball has been one of my favourite sports from an early age, and now that I am able to enjoy the game from afar, it brings me joy.

There are two major categories of sports: outdoor and indoor sports. It all depends on the person and what kind of sport they enjoy the most. Similarly, I enjoy watching one sport, which I will discuss in detail. 

What is it?

I enjoy watching Tennis, also known as Lawn Tennis. It is played in two formats: singles, where two people compete against each other, and doubles, where each team has two people competing against the other two. 

Who do you watch it with?

I started watching tennis and became interested in it because of my elder brother. I watched the games with him only. He introduced me to different tennis titles and explained the rules. It was then that I started following the sport. I also have favourite players, such as Roger Federer and Sania Mirza.  

When do you watch it?

I mainly follow Wimbledon, both men’s and women’s, and try to watch the games when they are being aired. If not, I try to watch them after recording them whenever I have time. 

Why do you like to watch it?

I like watching the sport because I admire the strength and stamina of the players. I am mesmerised by the preparation, techniques, and other aspects.

Conclusion

To sum up, my brothers introduced me to tennis, and I started playing it after that. The sport intrigues me to the extent that I would like to learn the ins and outs of it if given a chance.

Introduction

Sports are an important part of anyone’s life as they keep you active and entertained. However, there are certain sports that we do not play but love to watch. Moving forward, I will talk about one such sport I enjoy watching. 

What is it?

The sport I am talking about, which is the most fun to watch, is the Formula 1 race. It is a sport that has cars, and players race to win the title. The race has several teams, and each team has two drivers; each driver has to complete several laps across a special race track with challenging turns at high speed, making it difficult. 

Who do you watch it with?

I mostly watched the F1 races with my friend because he introduced me to the game. After watching and understanding the game, we have a common favourite team, over which we bond well. Our favourite team is Ferrari out of all the ten teams that compete in the competition.

When do you watch it?

We watch all the races when they are scheduled to be broadcast. The races are broadcast from different countries, and because all the countries have different time zones, the timing of the broadcast is different in India. 

Why do you like to watch it?

I like to watch Formula 1 races because of the adrenaline rush and the techniques that the drivers possess. Watching the races and understanding the practice behind becoming a Formula 1 driver amazed me. I understand the value of every second and their strength for driving the cars at their speed. 

Conclusion 

To conclude, even though I started following the Formula 1 races very recently, the game has me hooked. It is interesting to indulge in new games in addition to the famous ones that are adored by people around the world.

Answer- There is no doubt that cricket is the most popular sport in India. But with the advent of the major leagues, football, hockey, and kabaddi have also begun to gain popularity in recent years. Apart from these sports, people are slowly becoming interested in watching other sports like basketball (NBA), F1 races, tennis, and various other games; this is because the nation's youth has started adapting to other sports and understanding their values. 

Question- Why do children need sports?

Answer- First, playing sports keeps kids physically fit. Their significance has grown even more as fast food consumption and sedentary lifestyles have expanded. Second, playing sports helps kids unwind and lower their stress levels. It provides them with much-needed respite and diverts their attention from their studies. Finally, as kids learn to interact with other kids, sports aid in developing social skills.

Question- How can parents develop an interest in sports among children?

Answer- My father enjoyed playing sports with us, so I can speak from personal experience when I say that he inspired me to get involved in sports. He used to play badminton and cricket with us every evening. Thus, parents ought to participate in sports first. Secondly, I believe that parents ought to impose severe time limits on their kids' use of electronics. Due to computer games, the majority of kids these days don't play sports.

Question- Who is your favourite tennis player, and why?

Answer- Roger Federer is the tennis player I adore the most. In addition to his outstanding accomplishments and sportsmanship, his grace on the court makes him a true game ambassador. Federer's capacity to compete at the highest level over several tennis eras is tremendously motivating.

Question- When did you get interested in other sports like basketball and F1 races?

Answer- I have been interested in basketball since childhood. I used to play the sport and later started following the NBA. As for F1 races, my friend introduced me to the sport and explained all the rules. Since then, I have become interested in it and watched all the races with him.
