Describe a Live Sports Match that you have watched cue card - sample answer 1

Introduction

It's possible that you've heard of fans who attend games in person every day because they can afford the hefty prices that stadium owners demand for a single game. To be completely honest, though, I've never had the chance to see a single game in a stadium. This isn't because I don't like watching it; rather, it's because I simply cannot afford to pay those exorbitant prices; they are simply too much for me. However, there was that one occasion when I had the good fortune to attend a live match at the stadium.

What was it?

I'm a huge basketball fan, and I was fortunate enough to attend a game in a stadium once. That is to say, it happened one day as I was randomly scrolling social media where a post occurred in which we had to guess the correct answers.

I knew the solution to the question that appeared on the screen, so I just commented on the post. By chance, they replied to my comment, which was the correct answer, and I won the contest. However, I never would have imagined what happened next: I got two tickets to the most recent basketball game being played in our town at the time.

When did you watch it?

A week after answering that question, I watched the match and made the decision to bring along my friend, who is an avid basketball enthusiast. To enjoy the match and have the time of our lives, we both dressed up and went.  It was simply an incredible sensation.

What was it like?

The stadium was packed, with university students making up the majority of the spectators. They were all very energetic and thrilled, giving their teams their full support.

Upon the commencement of the contest, the audience went completely crazy, enthusiastically cheering and singing along with their favourite teams.

And how did you feel about it?

It was an incredible experience to be watching the match right in front of my eyes, and I felt great about it. I will always remember that fantastic experience I had at the time. All due to that social media post, which gave me the incredible chance to have such a life-altering event.

Conclusion

The unforgettable experience of that match will forever be imprinted into my memory.

Introduction

The belief that sports are important in people's lives cannot be disputed. This is the reason why more and more people in this day and age play different kinds of games. These days, people like playing sports both outside and indoors. Even if participating in sports is the most enjoyable activity, seeing a live sporting event is equally enjoyable.

I love playing sports, thus it brings me great joy to be a sports fanatic. I love football, and Ronaldo is my favourite player. I have a habit of watching every game that airs on television.

What was it? / When did you watch it?

But first, I'd want to discuss a football match that the local government organised last year in an effort to encourage more young adults to play. Despite being an integral component of the team, I was unable to participate in that particular match due to an injury.

What was it like?

I was compelled by my injury to miss that game. Nonetheless, while seated in the stadium, I gave it a critical inspection.

I was first concerned about whether or not I would enjoy the game. However, as the game went on, I began to enjoy it. The audience was very absorbed in the game, and the scenario continued to change until the end of the match. Screams went up, encouraging the players to buck up. Both sides played with discipline, commitment, and resolve throughout the game. In the end, our squad prevailed by a single goal.

And how did you feel about it?

I found it intriguing that the two team members were embracing one another to demonstrate their positive outlook and display sportsmanship. Lastly, prizes were awarded to the top performers and the players that did well during the prize distribution event.

Conclusion

Overall, I had a different kind of experience from what I usually had.

Describe a Live Sports Match that you have watched cue card - sample answer 3

Introduction

I've always had an unwavering passion for sports, especially cricket. My hero was the brilliant cricketer Lasith Malinga, and I vividly recall how much I used to get excited whenever he played the overs in a match. I've witnessed a number of games on the field with my family and friends throughout the years. But there was one particular match that really resonated with me.

What was it?

It was a cricket match played in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. It was Lasith Malinga's final game as a baller in history.

When did you watch it?

I recall that in the 2020 Asia Cup, there was an ODI match between Sri Lanka and India. I was in class 11th standard at that time, and I forced my father to visit Mumbai, particularly for this match.

What was it like?

The crowd's constant applause increased the intensity of the game. I ran into a group of people of my age in the middle of the game. When I joined them, we all started laughing and cheering a lot. The second inning of the day-night game was played in bright lighting. That's when the whole audience lost it.

And how did you feel about it?

The experience was enriching for me emotionally. However, I was happy to have finally had the chance to see Lasith Malinga play live cricket. However, I was extremely saddened by the fact that it was his last cricket match. I discovered something very important that day: nothing in this world is permanent. That day marked the end of Lasith Malinga's 28-year career as an international cricket player. It proves that wonderful things do not last forever. As such, we have to welcome change in our lives.

Conclusion

Being there in person instead of watching on TV created a memorable experience that I’ll never forget in my life.
