Describe a speech you gave or Describe a talk you gave to a group of people - sample answer 1

Introduction

Giving a speech to a group of people is the art of presenting something that you have thoroughly researched, organised and practised. Here, I would like to share my experience of a speech I once gave in school.

When and to whom did you give the speech?

The speech was given on August 15th in front of my whole school.

What was the speech about?

The speech is mainly about Indian women. I talked about how people here worship women in goddess forms like Laxmi, Gayatri, Saraswati, Parvati, etc., and how a woman deals with so many things in her daily life with her family members. My main focus was women's empowerment, specifically boosting women's sense of self-worth, ability to make their own decisions, and right to influence societal change for themselves and others.

Why did you give the speech?

I regularly read the news about everything, and many things need improvement concerning women. I feel really disheartened when I see the hypocrisy of people worshipping goddesses on one hand and increasing crimes against women.

How did you feel about it?

Some students may ask about the importance of giving a speech on Independence Day on this topic. Even if only a few people are inspired to take action and raise awareness in their communities for women, the impact on others' lives can be big. A small change has the potential to trigger lasting effects and positive changes in society, so I felt really good after giving the speech.

Conclusion

Overall, I enjoyed the speech I gave at my school's Independence Day celebration. All my friends and teachers appreciated the speech, which gave me more confidence.

Introduction

I remember my speech from years ago in college. There was an event and workshop about “Artificial Intelligence” where I needed to speak about this topic for two minutes.

When and to whom did you give the speech?

I gave this speech a year ago. As a master's student at Maharani College, Jaipur, I had the opportunity to deliver a speech to the entire Computer Science department, including guest faculty taking this AI workshop.

What was the speech about?

I discussed the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our education system. With AI, many students can grow and learn better. I also discussed how the application of AI can affect humans and take education to greater heights.

Why did you give the speech?

AI has the power to transform our learning methods completely. Improvised knowledge and information can help with personal growth and change the world. I have always been interested in learning and sharing information about new technologies or technological advancements, so I felt quite amazing after sharing the knowledge I had about AI.

How did you feel about it?

I really enjoyed giving this speech about Artificial Intelligence. As I pursued my master's with an AI specialisation, the subject itself became my favourite.

Conclusion

I felt wonderful and accomplished after giving the speech on AI and sharing my thoughts on this emerging technology.
