Introduction

We frequently face challenges in our professional lives that put our abilities and willpower to the test. Working on a project for a client was one of the most difficult tasks I finished at work.

What was it?

The task was to create a literature review document for an academic writing project within a tight deadline. As an academic writer, I was responsible for preparing the document, conducting extensive research and ensuring that I met all the client's requirements and deadlines.

How did you complete it?

Writing a literature review without proper guidance was the biggest hurdle for me. So, I approached the work methodically. I began by deciding on a subject I was enthusiastic about. I then read many papers and articles and researched extensively to gain knowledge to complete it. 

Why was it difficult?

Once I had gathered the data, I spent countless hours analysing and drawing conclusions. Equally challenging was the writing process, which demanded meticulous attention to detail and thorough proofreading.

How did you feel about doing it?

Reaching the end of this task made me feel proud. It was more than just turning into a report; it was evidence of the knowledge and abilities I had gained throughout my academic journey as a writer. The feeling of pride and satisfaction was overwhelming.

Conclusion

It's difficult to describe the feeling of satisfaction I had after finishing the assigned task. It gave me the confidence to take on new tasks because it validated my hard work and perseverance.

Introduction

Everything seems easier once we try or practise it. Initially, it can look difficult, but it becomes easier as we practise more. Today, I will talk about a difficult task I completed while studying.

What was it?

The difficult thing I did was sketching. I had to learn sketching because I  had opted for the arts subject but didn’t know how to draw a straight line. There, I had to learn to paint and sketch by myself, so I decided to learn to sketch.

How did you complete it?

It took me several days to learn the fundamentals of sketching. I got hurt so much when I was painting and sketching. I finally gained the confidence to start learning and taking an interest in them. Using my phone to watch painting and sketching videos, I gradually began to do it.

Why was it difficult?

It was difficult because I had to sit for hours without any knowledge of sketching. At first, I was afraid to draw a rough sketch, so sketching was difficult. Also, using different colours and shades of pencil was confusing to me because I had little to no knowledge of sketching. 

How did you feel about doing it?

I was interested in learning how to sketch.So, after some days of struggle, with my confidence, I started sketching very well, and now I can sketch efficiently. 

Conclusion

I learned that nothing is too difficult if one puts in sincere effort. Everything appears hard initially, but it becomes effortless once we get started. All we need is faith in our abilities and enthusiasm to carry on.

Introduction

Completing challenging activities is a necessary part of life for everyone to learn about their talents and weaknesses. Throughout my life, I have completed various jobs which I thought I could never complete.

What was it?

During the rainy season, I was getting late for the office and I had to drive through a crowded area to reach my workplace, which was a difficult task for me. But somehow, I managed to drive successfully.

How did you complete it?

It was my first time driving a car in a crowded place. At first, I felt it was a difficult task, but I slowly gained the confidence to drive in a highly trafficky area and am proud of myself.

Why was it difficult?

Before this particular incident, I could never gather the courage to drive a car in a crowded area, so it was difficult for me to drive confidently or even attempt to drive. Moreover, driving in a busy place was tough at first, but I gradually developed confidence. 

How did you feel about doing it?

I felt happy and confident afterwards because earlier, my father never allowed me to drive in busy areas, but now he does not think twice when I take the car to my workplace.  

Conclusion

I was able to drive in a crowded place, and this new experience boosted my confidence. Even if it's a new work or you are studying something new, try it with all your interest, and you'll learn something new.

Question- What qualities foster confidence in people?

Answer- It depends on how old they are. When we accomplish challenging or complex activities as children or young adults, it makes us proud and confident—for instance, winning a sporting event, getting accepted into a reputable university, or standing first in a competition. But as people get older, they care more about their kids' accomplishments and are happy for them when they succeed in life.

Question- Do people typically feel proud of themselves after overcoming a challenging task?

Answer- Yes, of course. Everyone feels pleased when completing a difficult task because it builds their confidence and helps them polish their abilities. Completing challenging jobs also ensures that our efforts are worthwhile, and witnessing the results of our work is one of life's greatest joys.

Question- How do young people handle challenging tasks?

Answer- Today, Google and YouTube offer a wealth of material about problem-solving techniques, and the internet has greatly simplified the lives of young people. In addition, young people consult their parents and grandparents for advice when trying to resolve issues.

Question- What are the most challenging jobs that people do?

Answer- Although there are many challenging careers, I believe that serving in the army, navy or air force—where there is a high risk of death—is the most difficult employment. Being a doctor or nurse is another challenging profession because even a tiny mistake puts the lives of others in danger.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the speaking component has the same weight as the other portions. You will need to practise a lot to handle this area with finesse. This section contains open-ended questions, such as the examiner asking you a few follow-up questions once you've answered them.
